No matter where you live, there is history in your town. Do some research and find something that would interest you and your partner. Find an old building and learn all about the owners, builders, inhabitants, etc. Take a tour around your town running from one set of history to another. Find out where your partner is from and find out about that town. Find out about some of her family and her background to bring him/her “back to their roots”. Geneology is very cool, no matter what you think. Have your date deal with nothing but town history, old theaters, old restaurants, old anything to spice things up.

Pleasing your partner is often easier than you think. If you just take the time to look around you will see what will make them happy. Are there jobs that you haven’t done in…months? years? decades? How long will that job REALLY take you? Have you put off sewing his favorite pair of pants because it will seem like it will take too long? Or you just haven’t found the time? Is that door still squeaky or the sink still dripping? Today take the time to find one job or task that you have been putting off and just get it done. It won’t take you as long as you think and your partner will be so happy! Do something before you forget, again.

This one is really cheap. Does your partner complain a lot about something? Do they hate to wash the toilets or take out the trash? Do they hate cleaning up after dinner? Listen for a few days and you can easily find a few things that will help you to better understand your partner. Once you understand what they don’t like or what they are craving, you can more easily satisfy those feelings. If I had someone helping me with the dishes everyday, I would be much happier. I always put the dishes off as long as I can, because they bug me. What can you do to make life happier around your home?
